What's inside a charter quote
Eight line items, one total. We publish every line so you know exactly what you're paying for — not just a lump sum.
- 01Block time
The bulk of every quote. Block time is wheels-up to wheels-down, plus 15 minutes of taxi at each end. We charge our internal wet-lease rate — fuel, crew and insurance included — never marked up via a broker.
Share of quote55–65% - 02Landing & handling
Every touchdown has a landing fee (paid to the airport) and a handling fee (paid to the FBO or ground handler). Le Bourget is €4,200. Riga is €1,400. We pass these at cost, no markup.
Share of quote10–20% - 03Overflight & permits
Some countries charge for passing through their FIR. Crossing 3+ borders typically adds €450 per leg. EU internal flights are usually fee-free.
Share of quote0–5% - 04Crew overnights
EASA duty rules cap pilots at ~10 flight hours. Longer missions require overnighting the crew at destination — 2 pilots × €280 hotel = €560 per night.
Share of quote0–6% - 05Catering
Standard catering scales with jet class — €120 on a VLJ to €680 on an ULR. Bespoke menus from partner chefs on request, billed at cost.
Share of quote1–3% - 06Peak-day surcharge
Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and select holidays (Christmas, F1 weekends, Cannes, Davos) carry a 12% uplift. Midweek is always cheaper.
Share of quote0–12% - 07Positioning
If the jet isn't at your departure airport, we ferry it in. We subsidise this 40% when the return trip is within 48 hours — it's in our interest to keep utilisation high.
Share of quote0–15% - 08VAT
International private transport inside the EU is 0% VAT. B2B transactions use reverse-charge (buyer self-accounts). Domestic-only Latvian legs carry 21%.
